LINEN COORDINATOR based at WAIKATO HOSPITAL

As a Linen Coordinator with Taylors Hamilton, you will work as part of a small tight knit team to ensure that Waikato hospital has all the clean linen they require, so that they can care for the sick and injured.

Taylors is one of the largest textiles management and laundry operators in Australasia. Our Laundry manages the textile and laundry requirements of customers in the healthcare, accommodation, and hospitality sectors.

 

Duties

As a Linen Coordinator, you will ensure the linen is delivered throughout the hospital to various linen cupboards. 

This will involve (but not be limited to) completing duties such as: 

  • Carrying linen bundles to fill trolleys or shelves 
  • Using trolleys to transport stock throughout the hospital 
  • Visually checking product for quality 
  • Counting bundled linen into linen cupboards to match orders 
  • Completing manual and computer picking dockets 
  • Use of a tablet to log linen amounts and place orders
  • Following safe work procedures 
  • Collection of soiled linen 
  • Counting the stock in the linen room at end of shift to place orders from stock with laundry

 

Skills / experience

  • Good Fitness Level with the ability to lift 5kg – 15kg repetitively. This role requires a large amount of walking around the hospital site
  • Can do attitude
  • Flexibility within rostered hours and days
  • Willingness to be part of our safety culture
  • Team player comfortable working in a multicultural workforce
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and apply the information to your work

Please note: As a pre-requisite for these roles candidates will be required to undertake a Vulnerable Children's check including Police vetting and may be required to complete a Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.

This role requires all workers on Hospital sites are fully vaccinated against Covid 19 including at least 1 booster dose.
